Secondly, no one has ever claimed that Saddam wasn't; a) a bad guy, b) intent of
acquiring WMD, c) using WMD, or any of a thousand legitimate claims leveled against him

Well... Let's see if I have my facts in order:

1. Bush talked about the Nigerian Uranium procurement in his
SOU.

2. Turns out that was based on false documents, and that he'd
been warned not to use it in October of the proceeding year by
none other than George Tenet.

3. Bush denied that he'd done anything wrong in using that
material, and when George Tenet took the blame for the blunder,
Bush stated that he considered the matter "closed".

5. Condoleezza Rice, who should have known the truth and should
have come forward and/or warned the President about placing the
blame on Tenet, also fell in line and placed the blame on Tenet!

6. Bush was forced, probably by a recitation of the evidence, to
recant and take the blame himself.

That makes Condoleezza Rice either wrong or incompetent. It
makes Bush a not so credible President, and George Tenet look as
"pliable" as Colin Powell.

Is this what you call a good Presidency?
Or have I gotten something wrong?
