Ok folks - need to liven things up here. The group is dying on its
feet. Let's se if we can get a little movement happening. I have a quesry for any readers. Who is your favourite mandolinist and why? For example, I would have to say that overall I don't like Chris Thile although I respect his skills. It seems to me that mandolinists (excluding Thile) are generally consigned to the back burner. Maybe we aren't charismatic enough? D |

Heck, even Vince Gill can grab a Mando and impress me. I agree with you on Chris Thile. David |

I heard him do the old country song "He'll Have To Go" with a mariachi band backing him up. I've been trying to do that spanish rythem on my acoustic guitar. I can do it cleaner with a pick but it seems like it needs to be done with just the fingers when I do it with just my guitar and no other backup. David |
