We are proud to announce the first public beta release (0.9) of the
OpenPanel project. OpenPanel is an open source remote server
administration tool with both an AJAX GUI and a powerful command line
interface. This first release focuses on getting the basic
functionality up for managing a typical web hosting server with
configuration for users, dns, email, websites and related services.
The OpenPanel architecture is designed with extendability in mind,
with a fully modular lay-out that allows extra modules to be written
in any language under the sun.

This beta release supports the following distributions in ready-to-
install package formats:
- CentOS 4
- Debian Etch

The Debian packages appear to also work on Ubuntu 6.10 and up and
packaging efforts are under way to support Fedora Core 8.
